VALLEY CITY, N.D. — A Valley City man accused of driving under the influence was arrested early Saturday morning, March 28, after allegedly fleeing a state trooper on a Barnes County highway.
About 1:30 a..m., 18-year-old Zander Johnson fled after a trooper attempted to stop him for an equipment violation on Highway 1, 9 miles south of Valley City, according to a report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Johnson fled south reaching speeds of up to 120 mph before slowing down and pulling over, the patrol said. He was taken into custody without incident.
Johnson faces charges of fleeing a law officer and DUI, according to the patrol's report.
