WAHPETON, N.D. — The Richland and Sargent county sheriff's offices have launched a joint investigation into counterfeit bills that have allegedly been passed in the counties, the law enforcement agencies announced in a news release.

Roughly $650 in false bills, consisting of $50 and $100 bills, have been passed at locations across the two counties, according to the release.
