HORACE, N.D. — A man is in custody on multiple charges after a sheriff's deputy attempted to stop him for reckless driving on County Round 17 , according to a press release from the Cass County Sherrif's Office.

On Tuesday, Nov. 17 around 2:30 p.m. a Cass County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for reckless driving south of Horace. As deputies pursued the vehicle, they identified the vehicle as stolen from Richland County.

Cass County deputies and the North Dakota Highway Patrol successfully utilized spike stripes in order to bring the pursuit to a stop on Interstate 29 south of Fargo.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 32-year-od Hamid Zuri, Fargo, and was arrested on multiple charges including the following felonies: fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen property along with a misdemeanor for driving under suspension.

Zuri was transported to the Cass County Jail and the investigation remains ongoing.
