FARGO — A New Orleans woman shot at a Motel 6 employee early Wednesday morning, Jan. 13, in Fargo after getting into an argument about him reportedly seeing another woman while she stayed with him, prosecutors alleged.

Demetria Tomieka Joseph, 32, appeared Thursday in Cass County District Court on Class C felony charges of reckless endangerment and theft of a firearm. She also faces a misdemeanor count of discharging a firearm in the city.

Police responded minutes after midnight Wednesday to the Motel 6 at 1202 36th St. S. for a report of a disturbance, according to a criminal complaint. The assistant manager told police Joseph was staying with a housekeeper for several days but was upset the housekeeper was allegedly going to have another woman over, the complaint said.
