BISMARCK — A Michigan man has been arrested with 2,000 fentanyl pills in Bismarck, federal prosecutors allege.
Barry Christopher Brown Jr., 28, of Taylor, Mich., was indicted Thursday, Feb. 11, on conspiracy to distribute drugs and possession with intent to distribute, U.S. Attorney Drew Wrigley said Friday in a news release.
A search of Brown’s hotel room in Bismarck last month turned up pills designed to look like oxycodone 30-milligram pills, but they contained fentanyl, prosecutors alleged. The street value of the pills is about $160,000, Wrigley said.
Agents also found $24,000 in the room, and another $42,000 on Brown's person, according to the release.
