VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Authorities are searching for a "high-risk" sex offender who skipped out on his probation requirements last week and remained unaccounted for as of Monday, June 21, the Valley City Police Department said in a news release.
North Dakota Parole and Probation Services last Friday notified Valley City police that 42-year-old Leslie Raymond Allery had tampered with his ankle monitor.
The agency asked local police to verify Allery was still in the Valley City area, but officers could not locate him, according to a news release. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Allery was convicted of solicitation of a minor and promoting obscenity to a minor in Burleigh County in 2020 and is required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. The state considers him a high-risk offender.
Allery is described as 6-foot-1 and 255 pounds. Police ask anyone with information to call their local law enforcement agency or Valley City police at 701-845-3110.
