MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - A manager of a McDonald’s in this northern Twin Cities suburb has been charged with sexually assaulting one of his employees, a 14-year-old girl, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman.
Andrew Otero Albertorio, 24, was charged with five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim 13-15 years old by a person in a position of authority.
Albertorio was scheduled to make his first court appearance later Tuesday.
“These sexual assaults if proven in court reflect deplorable conduct,” Freeman said. “A 24-year-old manager abusing his position of authority upon a young girl is wrong. Thankfully, the Legislature has made such conduct a serious felony and rightfully so. The Maple Grove Police Department and our office will work hard to make this man accountable for his actions.”
Authorities say the girl’s parents called police Jan. 2 to report that Albertorio had assaulted the girl numerous times.
Authorities said the girl began working at the Maple Grove restaurant last summer and that Albertorio flirted with her and pressured her for sex. The girl said she resisted until Albertorio cornered her in the restaurant’s cooler in early December.
