FARGO — A man is in custody after leading police on a high-speed car chase in Fargo and West Fargo on Thursday, May 30.
West Fargo police said the pursuit started after a failed traffic stop for reckless driving near West Fargo High School, 801 9th St. E.
The driver then drove into oncoming traffic to avoid officers, and a few blocks later the suspect went back into the correct lanes in Fargo on Main Avenue.

Police then stopped the chase for safety reasons until a bit later the vehicle was spotted after it sideswiped five vehicles at a red light at Main Avenue and 36th Street South in Fargo.
The driver then tried to make a U-turn at that intersection when he hit the back end of a truck and curb, disabling his vehicle at the intersection of Main Avenue and Interstate 29.

After a brief foot chase, Trevor Love, 23, of West Fargo was arrested and booked into Cass County Jail. Love was held in a police vehicle while officers searched the vehicle he had been driving, according to a Forum reporter who witnessed the incident.
According to a release, Love will face charges of fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, hit and run, driving under suspension, fleeing on foot, possession of a concealed weapon, and drug/drug paraphernalia possession.
The incident remains under investigation.
