JAMESTOWN, N.D.-A driver was injured Sunday, Dec. 3, after driving his SUV into three cows on the highway about 30 miles south of here.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 7:20 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 281 in Lamoure County. Ronald White III, 33, of Edgeley, N.D., was southbound in a 2011 Toyota 4Runner when he struck three cows in the southbound lane around mile marker 37.
A news release said one of the cows was killed in the crash, while the other two were injured. The owner of the animals put down the injured cows.
White was taken by ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for injuries that weren't life-threatening.
The accident remains under investigation.
