FARGO - Voters casting ballots early for a June election set a record Tuesday in Cass County, with three days left to participate in early voting ahead of the June 12 election.

Cass County Auditor Mike Montplaisir said 1,263 people cast ballots on Tuesday at the locations in Fargo and West Fargo, bringing the two-day total to 2,141 early ballots cast.

That surpasses the previous record by eight votes. According to county records, 2,133 people voted early in the June 2010 election, while 1,927 people voted early in the 2008 primary.

Early voting is available this week to all eligible Cass County voters at the following locations:

10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday at the Hilton Garden Inn & Suites, 4351 17th Ave S. in Fargo and at the Lodoen Kindergarten Center, 330 3rd Ave. E. in West Fargo.
