MOORHEAD – A listening session at Minnesota State University Moorhead aims to increase campus safety and tie into sexual violence prevention efforts.

The session will take place 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Comstock Memorial Student Union Ballroom 200.

In recognition and support of Gov. Mark Dayton proclaiming April as Sexual Violence Prevention Month, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education is hosting similar sessions across the state led by Melissa Kwon, who was recently hired to support sexual violence prevention and response efforts on the state’s campuses.

Dayton enacted new requirements in 2015 for college campuses to provide sexual assault training to students and staff, as well as enhance cooperation efforts between institutions and local law enforcement.
