FARGO - A group of North Dakota organizations will host a School Safety Community Listening Forum 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at the Fargo South High School theater, 1840 15th Ave. S. Attendees are asked to enter the theater on the 17th Avenue side of the school.
Another forum will happen 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the Valley City High School auditorium, 460 Central Ave. N., in Valley City. The public can access the auditorium through door No. 6.
The forums are part of a statewide series through August to give North Dakotans an opportunity to voice their opinions about school safety and offer suggestions for improvements. The meetings are organized will be organized by the Department of Public Instruction, the North Dakota School Boards Association, the state Council of Educational Leaders, North Dakota United, North Dakota Small Organized Schools, the state Association of Counties, the Highway Patrol, state departments of human services and emergency services and the governor's office.
Forums will also be held in Bismarck, Dickinson, Williston, and Rugby.
