MOORHEAD — The Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom program is partnering with Midwest Dairy to host a series of free virtual field trips during October to celebrate the connection between K-12 students and Minnesota farmers.

The series takes place during National Farm to School Month and includes a virtual stop at Moorhead's New Roots Produce Farm.

In-person classrooms, as well as students doing distance learning, are invited to meet farmers and tour farms that provide food to school cafeterias.

The series takes place virtually over five dates:

  • Thursday, Oct. 22, at New Roots Produce Farm, Moorhead.
  • Thursday, Oct. 1, at Goldenrust Farm, Eyota, Minn.
  • Thursday, Oct. 13, 2020. Revol Greens Greenhouse, Owatonna, Minn.
  • Thursday, Oct. 29, Ahlgren Dairy Farm, Central Minnesota.
