FARGO — The 100th anniversary of the North Dakota State University Women's Club will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 11.

The brunch program will begin at 11 a.m. at the NDSU Memorial Union Ballroom and feature an illustrated history of the club, as well as the changing roles of women through fashion from NDSU's Emily Reynolds Historic Costume Collection.

There will also be a poem reading by Bibi Khan in homage to the Women's Club, remarks from NDSU President Dean Bresciani and words from Women's Club President Mary Bjerke.

The celebration is open to the public and costs $12. Reservations are required by sending an email to grit@iwinst.org with the attendees name and the names of any guests or by calling 701-261-0330.

NDSU Women’s Club was established in 1920 as a nonprofit educational organization to enhance relationships within the university and surrounding communities. Wives of faculty and staff were the first members and an invitation was needed to join.

Today, anyone in the community who desires to join can become a member. The club offers interest group opportunities for the members and provides academic scholarships to eligible NDSU students.
