EMERADO, N.D. — An Emerado man is accused of threatening to kill a female relative, attacking her and causing serious injuries, according to Grand Forks County court documents.
Documents filed on Jan. 3 indicate Rodney Peltier is facing both domestic violence causing serious injuries and terrorizing charges. Both charges are Class C felonies.
Documents say Peltier threatened to kill a female relative at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 1 in Grand Forks County by strangling her and striking her in the face, causing a lack of blood flow to the brain, pain, swelling and bleeding. A no-contact restraining order of 50 yards was set between Peltier and the victim.
At his first appearance on Jan. 6 his bond was set at $5,000. Peltier is scheduled to appear back in court on Feb. 5.
