A former employee of Coach's Sports Pub pleaded guilty Friday to breaking into the Moorhead bar and stealing more than $5,000.
Eddie Alexander, 38, 1141 Prairie Parkway, West Fargo, will be released from the Clay County Jail next week under terms of a plea agreement.
In exchange for Alexander's guilty plea to second-degree burglary, prosecutors agreed to dismiss a felony theft charge.
He will be required to pay restitution for the stolen money, but an amount has not been determined.
Alexander said in court he stole more than $5,000, but doesn't know the exact amount.
Investigators identified Alexander as a possible suspect following the Feb. 20 incident based on video surveillance and his knowledge of the bar.
A Coach's manager said in February Alexander worked for the bar as assistant manager but was fired in January.
Alexander will be sentenced June 8.
