FARGO – An athletic apparel store in Downtown Fargo held a group run the night of Tuesday, Dec. 18-- but with a twist. Beyond Running started a Christmas inspired run for their weekly run group, and at the end, there was a reward: tater tot hotdish.
Runners weaved and winded the streets of Fargo decked with Christmas lights and decorations for 3 to 5 miles in a new pair of shoes, courtesy of Saucony.
After the run, they met back at the store to feast on tater tot hotdish, something runners said makes the event especially midwestern.
Beyond Running's owner Sally Loeddler said it's always fun to get people together and exercising before the holidays.

"The running group has been enjoying a holiday run where we maybe find some great holiday lights to plan a route around." Loeffler said. "And this is a great way to bring some people back, get them kind of reset for the holiday, give them a little bit of stress relief, and have some friends to kind of commiserate with."
