FARGO — Four Fargo restaurants failed compliance checks in which law enforcement tested them to see if they were selling alcohol to minors.

Twin Peaks, Samurai Japanese Cuisine, HuHot Mongolian Grill and Rhombus Guys have been assessed a $500 penalty for their first offense in a year, Fargo Cass Public Health announced Friday, April 21.

They were among 30 Fargo businesses where law enforcement performed compliance checks. That means 87% of the businesses passed, officials noted.

Fargo Cass Public Health works with law enforcement several times a year to perform the checks with the aim of ensuring retailers are not serving alcohol to minors.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
