FARGO — Fargo’s Human Rights Commission is seeking applicants for open seats on the commission, which is responsible for promoting diversity and discouraging discrimination, according to their webpage.
Applications can be found at FargoND.gov/GettingInvolved .
To be considered for one of three open positions, the city encourages applicants to submit their forms prior to June 15, as the application review process will begin on that date.
Human Rights Commission meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 12 p.m., and members can anticipate an average time commitment of one to five hours each month, according to a statement from Fargo’s Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Office.
The board is responsible for leading the charge on civil rights issues, engaging the public with the promotion of these rights, discovering the community’s concerns around these issues and making recommendations to the City Commission.
