Fargo burglary suspect arrested in Clay County field after lengthy pursuit

Additional law enforcement agencies engaged in a pursuit and ultimately made an arrest in Georgetown, Minnestoa, according to Fargo police.

GEORGETOWN, Minn. — An early morning police chase through Fargo, Cass County and rural Clay County, resulted in the arrest of a burglary suspect on Wednesday Feb. 8, according to the Fargo Police Department.

Fargo police were first made aware of the burglary at 7:18 a.m. when a manager of a storage facility reported seeing someone breaking into a storage unit located near the intersection of Seventh Avenue and 35th Street North.

When officers arrived at the scene the suspect fled. Fargo police did not follow the vehicle.

Additional law enforcement agencies engaged in a pursuit and ultimately made an arrest in Georgetown, Minnestoa, according to Fargo police.

The suspect eventually fled into a field on foot, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Department. Deputies got permission from residents in the area to borrow a UTV with tracks to catch up to the suspect and make the arrest.
