FARGO — Fargo police are searching for a man wanted on multiple felony charges after an attempt to make an arrest fell short Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Tremane Rainey, 22, is wanted on charges of aggravated reckless endangerment and fleeing.

Police blocked off an area around 16th Avenue South and 34th Street Wednesday night but did not locate Rainey. They did tow a car away from the scene.

The charges Rainey is wanted on were filed in October after an incident near the North Dakota State University campus on Oct. 3. He was also found guilty and sentenced for taking police on a high-speed chase in Detroit Lakes in 2020.

Police asked anyone who sees Rainey to not approach him and call police with any information.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
