FARGO — The city of Fargo has announced lane closures will be reducing traffic down to one lane in each direction on 13th Avenue South beginning Monday, May 16.

The lane closures will be between Fiechtner Drive and 40th Street South. The left turn lane will also be restricted at 38th Street South. Local business access in that area will be maintained throughout the lane closure.

Detour signs will be in place to help direct traffic around the lane closures.

The reason for the closure is to allow for a Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation project. This phase of the project is expected to be in place for three weeks.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
