Mother's Day of Action rally Saturday to call out lawmakers over gun violence

The rally will call on lawmakers to reinstate the assault weapons ban.

FARGO — Moms Demand Action of Fargo-Moorhead is encouraging citizens concerned about gun violence to join a nationwide rally on Saturday, May 13, in Fargo.

Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers and gun violence survivors are organizing events across the country on Saturday to call on lawmakers to reinstate the assault weapons ban.

The nationwide effort, Mother's Day of Action, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Federal Courthouse, 655 1st Ave. N., Fargo.

"Guns are the leading cause of death for children, teens and young adults in America, and we’re demanding that our lawmakers honor mothers with action," a press release from Moms Demand Action of Fargo-Moorhead said.
