Fargo Cass Public Health to hold back-to-school immunization events

North Dakota law requires K-12 students to meet a minimum number of required immunizations before entering school.

FARGO — Fargo Cass Public Health is encouraging parents and guardians to make sure their children are up to date with immunizations for school in the fall.

To help facilitate those immunizations, FCPH will hold three immunization events throughout the summer.

Kids and teens can also receive immunizations by appointment in the FCPH clinic.

The summer immunization events and the shots available include an event on Tuesday, June 28, at the West Acres Shopping Center, 3902 13th Ave. S.

That event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include the following immunizations:

  • MCV4 (Meningococcal conjugate; one dose required for grades 7-10; two doses required for grades 11-12)
  • Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis; one dose required for grades 7-12)
  • HPV (human papillomavirus; recommended for all 11-12 year olds)

Appointments are not necessary, but preregistration is encouraged and can be done at www.ForAllofUs.com .

Also, events will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 17-18, at Fargo Cass Public Health, 1240 25th St. S., Fargo.
