Sex offender changes address in Fargo

FARGO — A high-risk sex offender in Fargo has a new address.

Epifanio Walker Benitez Jr., 50, now lives at 727 14th St. N., according to a Wednesday, Jan. 26, news release from the Fargo Police Department. Earlier this month, the agency reported he lived a few houses away from that address at 735 14th St. N.

Benitez was convicted in 2002 in Burleigh County of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl, according to court records. He also was convicted in 1997 in Ward County of corruption or solicitation of a minor.

He is at high risk to reoffend and must register as a sex offender for life.
