Some Fargo skating rinks, sledding hill see extended season

Outdoor rinks at Centennial Park, Clara Barton Park, Roosevelt Park and the SCHEELS Skating Rink at Broadway Square remain open, weather permitting.

FARGO — The Fargo Park District has extended the season for four outdoor skating rinks and the Edgewood Chalet sledding hill. Remaining outdoor rinks, sledding hills and warming houses are now closed for the season.

Outdoor rinks at Centennial Park, Clara Barton Park, Roosevelt Park and the SCHEELS Skating Rink at Broadway Square remain open, weather permitting.

Skate rentals are available at the Broadway Square Skate Shack from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Edgewood Chalet warming house and sledding hill will have an extended season, weather permitting.

Cross country ski and snow shoe rentals are available at Edgewood Chalet from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday-Friday, and from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The following locations are now closed for the season: Longfellow Park, Kennedy Park, Lewis and Clark Park, Madison Park, Lincoln Park, Washington Park, Jefferson Park, Horace Mann Park, Lemke Park and Mickelson sledding hill and warming house.
