FARGO — The start of Roger Maris All-Star Week is June 13, and that means youth sports clinics will make their return, too.
The youth clinics will offer a little something for everyone this year.
Interested kids can choose to break out their mitts for some baseball, lace up their skates for some hockey or practice their pass rush skills with football.
This year they will also offer golf, basketball and, for the first time, softball.
"We're going to have some great partners that know a lot about their individual sports," said Joel Vettel, head of strategic community partnerships for Sanford Health. "We're going to have not only, you know, NCAA champions, we're going to have folks from every rank. High school, college, and professional athletes out there teaching these kids."

The goal behind events like these is to simply give back to the community.
"These youth sports clinics really provide an opportunity for kids to come out, have a great time, learn some really important lessons about life, competition, leadership and all those ideas that ... Roger wanted to portray," Vettel said.
