MOORHEAD — Authorities continue to investigate a fire that severely damaged a building on a farm in rural north Moorhead Thursday evening, Nov. 7.
At least seven crews responded to fire, which started in a building on a property owned by Oberg Farms, 4310 110th Ave. N., before 5 p.m. It took crews about an hour to knock down the flames, according to Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting.
Firefighters then used an excavator to knock down parts of the building so they could access any potential remaining hot spots.
Empting said it's not yet clear what caused the fire and that the Minnesota State Fire Marshal is coming to investigate. Officials were still working Friday to find out what the cost of damage was.
