WEST FARGO — The fire that destroyed a rental home in West Fargo on Feb. 14 caused $30,000 in damage, according to West Fargo Fire Chief Dan Fuller.
Crews were called to the fire at a multi-unit building in the 200 block of 9 1/2 Avenue West on Friday morning where they quickly put out the fire in an upstairs bedroom, but not before significant smoke damage was caused to the apartment unit, Fuller said.
The fire caused $25,000 in property damage and $5,000 damage to the personal contents in the unit. The residents were assisted by the local American Red Cross to find short-term housing and necessities.
No injuries were reported but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
