UPDATE:

FARGO — A woman is in custody on suspicion of arson after a garage fire here early Tuesday morning, Aug. 4.

About 1:50 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of 11 1/2 Street North to a report of a building fire started by a woman, according to the Fargo Police Department.

Firefighters on scene told WDAY News that a dresser in the garage had caught fire and that they put out the flames before the garage and attached building suffered severe damage.

When officers arrived, they detained Sarah Dawn Annett, 27, Fargo. They provided Annett with medical attention on the scene before arresting her on suspicion of arson.

FARGO — Fargo firefighters made quick work of two early morning fires Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Around 1 a.m., crews responded to a report of a smoking car outside the Petro Serve on 19th Avenue South.

When fire fighters arrived flames could be seen coming from the back of the vehicle.

The team was able to knock the flames down in around 10 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Then at just before 2 a.m., firefighters responded to a call of a garage fire in the 2300 block of 11 1/2 Street North.

Firefighters told WDAY a dresser in the garage caught fire.

The flames were put out before serious damage could be done to the garage and the attached building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
