FARGO — Police have identified a woman they say may have more information about a car fire south of downtown Fargo.

The Red River Regional Dispatch Center received a report of a fire in the 900 block of Fourth Avenue South shortly before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 27.

Firefighters said they stopped the flames before they could spread to other cars parked along the roadway.

Fargo police later released two photos of a woman they described as a person of interest in their investigation.

She has been identified and interviewed by detectives, according to a police spokeswoman.

Police have not described the woman as a suspect in the case.
