MOORHEAD — Five people were arrested after an armed robbery at an apartment building here late Sunday, Sept. 29.

Police were sent to 911 23rd Ave. S. about 11:52 p.m. Sunday after a caller reported that a group of people forced their way into an apartment unit. The caller also reported that a person in the group appeared to have a handgun, according to authorities.

The first officers to arrive saw the group get into a car and drive away. Moorhead police, Clay County sheriff's deputies and Minnesota state troopers stopped the car in the 2300 block of Eighth Street South. The people in the car were arrested, and officers found a handgun in the car, police said.

Moorhead police said they believed the suspects went into the apartment to steal drugs from one of the people inside. One victim from the apartment had a head injury and was treated at the apartment by paramedics.

Audra Bar, 24, was jailed on suspicion of fleeing in a motor vehicle. Police said Bar drove the vehicle that left the scene as officers arrived.

Tavian Streed, 20, of Moorhead, was jailed on suspicion of second-degree controlled substance charges. He also had two open misdemeanor theft warrants. The other suspects assaulted Streed during the incident, police said.
