GRAND FORKS — A Sunday evening, Aug. 30, stabbing sent Ram Monger, 46, of Grand Forks, to the hospital, where he died of his injuries on Monday morning.
Sahadev Ghalley, 44, of Grand Forks, has been charged with murder.
At around 10 p.m. Sunday, police officers responded to Valley Park Apartments in the 2300 block of South 17th Street, where they found a man who was stabbed in the stomach. Police report that Ghalley stabbed Ram Monger in the stomach twice with a kitchen knife.
Following the stabbing, police located and arrested Ghalley, who was known to the victim.
"The victim had been staying with the suspect for a short amount of time, and, from what we can tell, it was an argument over money," said Lt. Brett Johnson with the Grand Forks Police Department.

Authorities aren't sure if drugs or alcohol were factors.
