GLYNDON, Minn. — A 20-year-old Glyndon man died in a fiery two-vehicle collision in Clay County Monday evening, June 22.
The man's body was taken to a medical examiner's office for identification, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. His name is expected to be released in the coming days.
The driver of the other vehicle, Drew Martin Lemke, 27, of Harwood, N.D., was not injured, according to the patrol.
The Glyndon man was driving a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria west on 43rd Avenue North approaching the intersection with Highway 9 northeast of Glyndon.
Lemke was northbound in a 2012 Ford F-350 pickup truck on Highway 9, also approaching the intersection with 43rd Avenue North.

The Crown Victoria failed to yield at a stop sign and entered the intersection into the path of the F-350, where they crashed, sending both vehicles into the west ditch. The driver of the Crown Victoria suffered fatal injuries.
It’s unknown whether airbags deployed in the Crown Victoria, and the report doesn’t say whether the Glyndon man was wearing a seatbelt.
Airbags did deploy in the F-350 and Lemke was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash was reported at 6:15 p.m. Monday on dry pavement in Spring Prairie Township. The Clay County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
