BISMARCK – Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum have directed all state agencies to fly the United States and state flags at half-staff through Saturday night, April 21, in memory of former First Lady Barbara Bush.
Businesses and individuals are encouraged to do the same as a mark of respect for the memory of Bush, who passed away Tuesday, April 17, at age 92.
The half-staff directive is in accordance with President Donald Trump’s proclamation, which calls for flags to remain lowered until sunset on the day of interment.
