WAHPETON, N.D. — The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality will seek to issue a renewal Air Pollution Control Permit to Operate to Cargill Corn Milling for operation in accordance with the North Dakota air pollution control rules.
Cargill Corn Milling is located at 18049 County Road 8, Wahpeton. The plant processes corn into products such as corn syrups, corn gluten feed, meal and germ.
A 30-day public comment period for the draft permit will run from Nov. 23 to Dec. 22. Direct comments in writing to the NDDEQ, Division of Air Quality, 918 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, N.D., 58501-1947, or email AirQuality@nd.gov. Comments must be received by the end of the public comment period to be considered in the final permit determination.
A public hearing regarding issuance of the permit will be held if public interest reaches a significant degree, as determined by the NDDEQ. Requests for a public hearing must also be received by the NDDEQ in writing prior to the end of the public comment period.
