FARGO — Tammy Linn, a teacher and business professional, has announced plans to seek election to one of two District 46 House seats in the North Dakota Legislature.

"I've been involved in both city and state government for years and would like to represent the citizens of District 46 in the N.D. House of Representatives," Linn said, adding she will offer a fresh perspective and "the energy to fulfill the priorities of my constituents."

Linn, a Republican, said she will conduct a survey to determine constituent priorities and issues.

She said that as a teacher, she sees every day the impact of mental health issues on children and their families.

The two incumbents who currently hold the District 46 House seats, Jim Kasper and Shannon Roers Jones, both Republicans, have announced plans to seek reelection.
