FARGO — Organizers for the Fargo-Moorhead Women’s March have released route and speaker information for this weekend’s demonstration.
The rally begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in the North Dakota State University Memorial Union, with the theme of “Women Rising.” It will honor the victories women have achieved and “shine a light on issues affecting our community that need more of our attention and participation,” organizers said in a news release.
The march begins at 2:15 p.m. Saturday. Demonstrators will head south toward 12th Avenue North, up North University Drive, west on 17th Avenue North and south along Albrecht Boulevard before returning to the Memorial Union.
North Dakota Rep. Karla Rose Hanson, D-Fargo, will speak at the event.
Doors to the union will open at noon for pre-rally activities, including sign-making. More information can be found at fmwomensmarch.com.
