BISMARCK — Gov. Doug Burgum held a press conference to discuss North Dakota's response to the coronavirus Thursday, March 12, at the North Dakota Department of Health Division of Emergency Preparedness.
Burgum was joined by officials with the state health department, including North Dakota State Health Officer Mylynn Tufte, Division of Disease Control Director Kirby Kruger and Emergency Preparedness Section Chief Tim Wiedrich.
The press conference followed Burgum's announcement Wednesday night that the North Dakota Department of Health has confirmed the state's first known case of COVID-19, the respiratory illness caused by the coronavirus.
