MOORHEAD — Heather Keeler has won the DFL endorsement for the Minnesota House District 4A seat.

Delegates to the DFL convention were elected at the March caucuses. Due to the coronavirus crisis, the DFL moved its conventions to an online balloting system.

Candidates needed at least 60% of the vote in order to win the endorsement. Other candidates in the race included Will Hagen and Chuck Hendrickson.

Rep. Ben Lien, who currently holds the District 4A seat, announced earlier this year that he is not running for reelection. District 4A includes the city of Moorhead and Oakport Township.

Keeler’s campaign platform includes investing in educational equity, providing quality health care for all, expanding affordable housing, closing the pay gap, and increasing broadband access. She holds a B.A. in project management and an M.A. in educational leadership, both from MSUM.
