FARGO — Applications are now being accepted for anyone interested in becoming a member of a Cass County advisory board.

Those wishing to apply can do so by visiting www.casscountynd.gov/boards. Applications and resumes will be reviewed by the Cass County Commission for consideration.

The county is especially looking to fill two openings for the city of Fargo Planning and Zoning Extraterritorial Representative. The Fargo Planning Commission is made up of 11 members that meet the first Tuesday each month. Eight members that are residents of Fargo are appointed by the City Commission for a three-year term. The remaining three members are appointed by the Cass County Commission for a five-year term.

Board members are expected to attend meetings, provide input on current topics and represent Cass County in a professional manner. The boards with current vacancies and the number of open seats can be found below.

  • Fargo Planning and Zoning E.T. Representative (two).
  • Fargo Cass Board of Health rural representative (one).

  • Gardner Planning and Zoning E.T. Representative (one).

  • Harwood Planning and Zoning E.T. Representative (one).

  • Mapleton Planning and Zoning E.T. Representative (one).

  • North River Planning and Zoning E.T. Representative (one).

  • School Reorganization Committee (one from Commission District 3).

  • Southeast Human Services Board (one).
