FARGO, N.D. — Are you one of those thrifty shoppers? Maybe you go out the day after Christmas, or Black Friday. How about the day after the 4th of July?

In our metro area, fireworks stands moved a lot of merchandise today, and the die-hard fireworks fans got deals. Troy Sager of Arthur, North Dakota knows a good buy when he sees one. "This is a skull of some sort, when I am done with it, I can use it for Halloween," he says.

Troy was at the Generous Jerry's fireworks tent for the last day of sales and Troy was making the trip worthwhile, filling up a cart and more.

"Black Friday for fireworks, so I come out every July 5th and fill up," Troy said.

With this being the last day for outdoor tent sales in North Dakota, Generous Jerry's is more than glad to to sell its product at a discount.

"It is funny call it the day after Christmas, I tell people it is Christmas when it's warm out. You come in and spend $500 or $1,000 on your kids. It is fun, celebratory," Jacob Lang, of Generous Jerry's, said.

As for the quality of the fireworks. They are good until the next 4th of July, over winter. Just keep them dry and away from young children.

Troy, and other fireworks shoppers like Josh Gornowicz of Dilworth, got here early enough to get the deals, filling up their trucks, ready for the 4th of July in 2023.

"Anything with a loud boom, I like that and anything the grandkids want," Troy said.

Your next chance to buy fireworks is right after Christmas. December 26th through January 1st.
