Body found in Red River Saturday afternoon

Police have identified the deceased but have not publicized his identity.

FARGO — A body was located and pulled from the Red River at approximately 2:20 p.m., Saturday June 5.

Officers from the Fargo Police Department and responders from the Fargo Fire Department responded to the body being found near the 2100 block of 5th St. S.

Upon arrival, a deceased male was removed from the river. Police were able to identify the deceased and notify his family, however his identity was not publicized. Police added that no further information was available as of Saturday night.

Police are continuing to investigate the death.
