According to court documents:
Officers who responded to the stabbing call found a woman with five stab wounds to her body.
The woman told officers O'Neal had stabbed her and left in a vehicle.
She said the stabbing occurred after she confronted O'Neal with suspicions he was cheating on her and told him to pack his things.
The woman said after she was stabbed she became woozy from loss of blood, but was able to get away from O'Neal by telling him she would give him money she had stashed in the laundry room of her apartment building.
The woman called 911 from a neighbor's apartment and O'Neal fled in the woman's vehicle, the court documents said.
O'Neal was stopped by police two blocks from the apartment complex.
He told officers he left the woman's apartment before their argument could escalate and he denied any physical altercation, according to court documents.
