Airport workers said they hope they won't have to pull out the equipment too much this winter, but at least they are ready for when it comes.

FARGO — Hector International Airport unveiled a newly renovated and expanded building with updated snow removal equipment Tuesday, Oct. 12.

The new building will store more snow removal equipment for use during the winter.

The equipment includes snow removal trucks and salt spreaders that are ready to assist the workers during frigid and snowy days.

"This helps immensely, (because) everything is on a large scale," said road maintenance foreman Andrew Holman. "The runway is 150 feet wide (and) almost two miles long."

The equipment will be able to help planes continue to land safely during the winter.
