FARGO — The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG) is holding an online public input opportunity for a proposed Veterans Boulevard corridor extension until Sunday, Oct. 4.
Community members can "watch an information video, provide comments, identify existing issues and take a survey to help establish what the corridor will look like when extended south of 52nd Avenue," a news release from Metro COG stated.
"The southerly extension of Veterans Boulevard is being explored as part of this corridor study to determine if the corridor has benefit to the overall transportation system and to identify the needs of the corridor," the release said. Benefits could include improved access to residences, businesses and amenities, as well as alleviated traffic on parallel roadways such as Sheyenne Street/County Road 17 and 45th Street South.
The project would extend Veterans Boulevard to 100th Avenue South near Horace.
