UPDATE: School officials have reported that the student that was injured by a bus Thursday, Nov. 21, was late and trying to catch up to the bus as it was leaving the school. The student then slipped on some ice, and the bus wheel rolled over the student's foot.
Staff at Fargo Public Schools have said the child is OK and has no broken bones, just some bruising.
When asked, the company that owns the bus said the driver will not face any punishment as he did not do anything wrong. They also said this is an example of how important bus safety is and to be careful in icy conditions.
