Man hit by train in downtown Fargo on Saturday morning
FARGO — The Fargo Police Department was dispatched to Main Avenue and Broadway for a pedestrian hit by a train at 12:31 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Officers arrived on scene and found a male victim under the train. The victim sustained what authorities described in a Facebook post as "serious/critical injuries." The last update from Fargo Police said the man was alive and in surgery at a local hospital.
The accident caused officers to block off the tracks for several blocks as they worked to investigate the scene.
The crossing arms were functioning properly at the time of the accident.
