MINNEAPOLIS - The former general manager of a defunct Lino Lakes disasterrecovery company was sentenced Wednesday to nine years in prison for his role in a scheme to steal money from FEMA and other organizations.

Patrick Iwan, 35, of Centerville, was also ordered by U.S. District Judge Richard Kyle to pay $1.2 million in total restitution to FEMA, Target Corp. and the Federal Transport Program.

He pleaded guilty in February to racketeering, obstruction of justice, mail fraud and wire fraud, the U.S. Attorney's office said in a news release. Iwan was the general manager of Keiger Enterprises Inc.
