Firefighters find body in central Minnesota house fire

The Little Falls Police Department and the Little Falls Fire Department responded to the fire, reported at 6:08 p.m.

LITTLE FALLS — A person was found dead Tuesday, Feb. 15, in Little Falls after a house fire.

The Little Falls Police Department and the Little Falls Fire Department responded to the fire, reported at 6:08 p.m. According to the report, upon arrival, the fire department observed smoke on both the first and second levels of the residence. At that time they learned that someone may still be inside.

The fire department later located a deceased person in the residence.

The identification is not being released pending family notification and due to the ongoing investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office. Little Falls is about 32 miles southwest of Brainerd.
